Dr. Innocent Oboué, PhD
Director, GeoSignal Institute
Dr. Oboué is a computational geophysicist working on geophysical signal processing, high-resolution imaging, and data-driven subsurface characterization. His research centers on physics-informed AI frameworks built to hold up on real Earth science problems, not just clean benchmarks.
That work covers locating subsurface resources (groundwater, geothermal energy, minerals), seismic hazard monitoring, and automated processing of distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) data.
He sets the Institute's scientific direction, leads its research strategy and publications, and manages its academic partnerships, staying involved on the technical side rather than purely administrative.
